Scales for Justice (S4J) Presentations

S4J was founded in the conviction that justice is precondition for universal and lasting peace, yet that far far too often injustice remains unnoticed and far too few times action is taken. One of the important means to raise awareness therefore are presentations at schools and universities as well as in side events at the UN.

Side events at the UN can be organised next to a plenary session or a meeting of a subsidiary body of the Human Rights Council (HRC). They allow participants to discuss a given topic in more detail than this would be possible during a plenary session. Usually, they comprise presentations followed by a discussion with participants from the floor. S4J is regularly  invited to participate in such side events .

Presentations at schools and universities can be held optionally in English and French as well as in German and Arabic on request.  Proposed presentation could include "The plight of refugees", "Human rights under occupation", "Blasphemy laws and the rights of minorities" as well as "Overcoming borders, dialogue in the face of conflict". If you are interested in a presentation about one of these topics please send an email to
